assumptions rather than move further from them, or build on them, with logical
argument. Frequently the problems and limitations of a theory, model or
paradigm lie in these basic items. Hence the path to greater insight lies
underneath or within the major concepts. 
This, it is worth noting, is one reason that some new ideas may not come from
the established experts. They are too close, too locked into the dominant
paradigm, the taken-for-granted features and the unexamined assumptions. So,
if you want to be creative then be prepared to look more deeply at established
principles and concepts.
